Molecular Biology Research Intern

As part of the Molecular Biology team at MissionBio, the intern will contribute to efforts in single-cell assay development and Tapestri platform improvement. The intern would investigate, troubleshoot and optimize assay composition and design parameters, work closely with bioinformaticians to identify key considerations in the analytical pipeline. The intern will be familiar with droplet based, microfluidic based single-cell assay chemistry, as well as innovate on new applications for Cancer Discovery and Cell & Gene Therapy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experiments involving mammalian cell culturing, qPCR, ddPCR, NGS sample preparation and other related lab techniques.
  • Literature backgrounds research, innovate on existing platforms.
  • Keep complete laboratory documentation.
  • Analyze data and presentations to discuss in team meetings
Required Skills:
  • Laboratory techniques, DNA and RNA manipulation techniques.
  • Strong self-motivation and curiosity driven.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
  • At least 2 years of related laboratory experience
