Field-based/Midwest (OH*, WV, IN, MI)
As a field-based medical expert, the Coagulation MSL supports CSL Behring's hematology products and therapeutic areas by advancing scientific and collaborative relationships and acting as a conduit for timely translation and communication of knowledge with key members of external healthcare communities and internal stakeholders towards optimized patient outcomes. The MSL function is anchored in educating external and internal stakeholders in the science behind, and safe and appropriate use of our products. The MSL will gather and translate relevant and actionable insights from their external interactions and provide Medical Leaders with information that identifies scientific and educational gaps. The MSL supports the generation of clinical-scientific knowledge and applies subject matter expertise and experience to special projects. This opportunity will entail a focus on the planning and implementation of clinical-scientific knowledge exchange with clinic and hospital-based clinicians treating congenital and acquired bleeding disorders.
Responsibilities: Acquire and maintain an advanced level of clinical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL Behring's products. Maintain a basic level of clinical-scientific knowledge about the broader portfolio of CSL Behring's products and the diseases they treat.
Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL Behring's products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Identify and engage appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in objective-based interactions with which to develop professional relationships and exchange clinical-scientific information relevant to CSL Behring's products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL Behring's Investigator Study (IIS) program process in response to unsolicited requests. Monitor and communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.
Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions
Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.).
Attend scientific and medical meetings.
Deliver approved educational programs and training to relevant internal functions.
Effectively and efficiently plan regional work, utilizing channels (personal, virtual) that meet the needs and interests of KOLs/HCPs.
Qualifications:
• Degree in nursing, pharmacy or advanced degree in science/medicine (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred Degree in a Medical and/or scientific field with strong relevant experience will be considered.
• 5+ years' relevant pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical industry experience
Minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare experience is required. Prior MSL experience is required.
Prior experience providing MSL level support in specific therapeutic areas
