Job Description

Myriad Neuroscience is looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with MSL, education and/or clinical or research experience in Psychiatry and Pharmacogenomics to serve as a key point of scientific exchange between clinicians, researchers and collaborators. This MSL will build and manage KOLs and serve as an extension of the sales team. The MSL educates across the continuum of healthcare providers on Myriad Neuroscience pharmacogenomic product lines and relevant therapeutic areas. This MSL will develop and maintain internal and external relationships in assigned geographic areas including key opinion leaders in academics and academic research, clinical practice, research, reimbursement, and public advocacy communities. This position will report to the Director, Neuroscience Medical Affairs and cover a territory in the North Midwest US, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Missouri. Preferred residential location for this MSL is Chicago, Minneapolis, or St. Louis.

Responsibilities

* Provides lectures, lead discussion groups, and through phone, internet and other means, educate physicians, other health care professionals, and the sales team about psychiatric pharmacogenomics and therapeutic areas relevant to the company's products
* Engages Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in psychiatry, genetics, and pharmacogenomics
* Addresses daily clinical support questions from health care professionals for all products
* Participates in local, regional, and national professional meetings and trade shows to promote the science around psychiatric pharmacogenomics
* Communicates feedback from KOLs and product users to the Medical Affairs, Marketing, R&D teams and leadership
* Identifies and trains consultants in conjunction with the Speakers Bureau
* Collaborate with stakeholders in pharmacogenetics including KOLs, payers, clinicians, and researchers to expand and improve mental healthcare

Qualifications

* Doctoral degree in health sciences (PharmD or PhD preferred)
* Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
* Knowledge and therapeutic experience in genomics, genetics, psychiatry and/or psychopharmacology
* Clinical or research experience with pharmacogenomics is preferred
* Exceptional written and verbal skills
* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees in an energetic and time-sensitive work environment
* Team-oriented interpersonal communication skills
* Must be analytical, flexible, innovative, and self-motivated
* Direct experience in servicing customer needs by creating and communicating complex biomedical information
* Advanced presentation and computer skills in literature identification and evaluation
* Exceptional written and verbal skills

TRAVEL

The field-based position requires 70-80% travel (car and air) to manage assigned geography

Must be familiar with field-based electronic communication tools for all aspects of job

MSL must be located within assigned territory near a major city and large airport for travel
