PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant Lead or Licensed Practical Nurse Lead - Center for Senior Health for a 1.0 full time equivalent Non-Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area.  Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met and service excellence provided in all aspects of work.  Subject matter expert.


Medical Assistant Lead: In collaboration with the healthcare team, assists physicians/providers in the delivery of patient care working within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant.


LPN Lead: Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by physicians and other healthcare providers.  The Clinic LPN functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills/shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, resource nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting.


Medical Assistant Lead

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program is required. An approved educational program/course of study that allows caregivers to sit for the MOA certification exam will be considered (e.g. Associate’s degree in Allied Health).

LPN Lead

  • Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing LPN program required.


Medical Assitant Lead

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant or performing like type work is required. 
  • Experience in leading and training preferred.

LPN Lead

  • Minimum of two years’ clinical experience as an LPN.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.



  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.

Medical Assistant Lead

  • Must have current Medical Assistant National certification or be a National Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) at date of hire.  When referring to the National Certification requirements, the following are acceptable in meeting that requirement:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
    • Clinical Medical Assistant certification through the National Health Career Associates (NHA)
    • National Certified Medical Assistant through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

LPN Lead

  • Current LPN license in Oregon



  • Work requires moderate physical exertion more than 65% of the time.   
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 80 lbs. or less.      
  • Work requires frequent exposure to minor cold, heat, poor ventilation or sharp instruments. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids once per month or more.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
