Occasional travel to other sites to meet the needs of the clinic may be required.


POSITION SUMMARY




  • Performs direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with physicians



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent



LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS




  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred BLS Certification required from American Heart Association



WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS




  • 1-3 years of experience preferred



POSITION DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)



CUSTOMER SERVICE




  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information and records in chart.

  • Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.

  • Takes vital signs.



PATIENT CARE




  • Provides quality patient care and friendly service Promptly responds to patient needs

  • Assists physician with physical exams and other procedures as specified by provider.



SERVICE




  • Performs a variety of technical tasks which include setting up of various equipment Ensures that work environment and exam rooms are neat and orderly

  • Organizes and prioritizes work to be completed within assigned time frame

  • Performs all duties in a conscientious, courteous and caring manner to maintain positive customer relations Accurately charts patient documentation including vital signs, height, weight and other procedures as required

Physical Requirements




  • Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
