The role will entail working with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to develop 3D formed glass display products in the automotive interior market. This individual will be responsible for supporting product and process design engineering by participating in the creation and execution of new manufacturing process procedures, the development of necessary fixtures and the analysis of root cause investigations related to all manufacturing process development phases.



 • Provide project oversight on mechanical aspects of new manufacturing product and process development projects from initial design through release including:

o Review customer specifications for product requirements o Instrument process setups for proper data acquisition

o Creation and execution of manufacturing process verification and validation procedures

o Familiar with industrial safety standards

o Prepare material for and participate in customer reviews and presentations

o Develop cost and schedule estimates as well as communicate current project status, issues and developments

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques based on procedures on specific criteria

• Ensure the technical sufficiency of procedures, methods, and instrumentation to achieve process targets.

• Responsible for the accuracy of work performed; takes a proactive approach to ensure quality of work.

• Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers

• Communicates ideas and project status clearly and professionally through graphic and written media and oral presentations.

• Provides necessary documentation of activities, results and assignments.



• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, scientific or related technical role

• Good aptitude for “hands-on” mechanical activities including troubleshooting skills for mechanical equipment (including valves, compressors, basic electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, etc.)

• Experience designing components and modeling in SolidWorks or a similar tool

• Directs vendors in the construction of prototype and production equipment. Perform tests and evaluates data and makes preliminary recommendations regarding equipment performance.

• Ability and understanding of how to instrument process systems for pressure temperature, flow, torque, etc.

• Working knowledge of process equipment, fixture design and execution of mechanical tests.

• Ability to handle and lift objects of 25 pounds

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

• Fluency in the English language
