Job Title: Material Science Engineer Industry: Aerospace or IGT materials Location: Muskegon, MI Salary: $150-$160k + bonus + relocation Requirements: Metallurgy SME with leadership experience in the aerospace, automotive, or casting/forging industry As a global leader in custom materials manufacturing and processes, we are continuing the expansion of our operations nationwide, and are looking to add an exceptional leader and metallurgy SME, to our Muskegon management team. Our Muskegon facility specializes in the manufacture of large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, and forged custom metal alloy materials produced by cutting edge vacuum-melt processes. The Technical Director will have technical management experience with product strategy, applications, and processes in the aerospace or similar IGT materials industry. What You Will Be Doing The Material Science Engineer will be the plant metallurgy SME, and will be responsible for leading our technology department in maintaining and improving our technology base, product quality, process control, and customer tech support, as well as facilitating the organization and effectiveness of Certifications, Contract Review, Corrective Actions, Internal/External Audits, Specifications, and records. The Material Science Engineer will also be responsible for NPI and approval for both proprietary and OEM materials.
