Corning’s Glass Technologies segment manufactures chemically strengthened cover glass, such as Gorilla® Glass® for the consumer electronics market and glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.



  • Develop and implement internal and external communications programs in support of the Corning Glass Technologies (CGT) sector.
  • Coordinate closely with the CGT senior marketing communications specialist supporting Advanced Optics – a business unit within CGT – and serve as liaison to customers and cross-functional groups. 



  • Develop and implement an annual marketing communications plan in support of the business’ strategy and objectives.
  • Generate content as needed for web applications, social media, leadership platforms, employee communications, and other internal and external channels.
  • Coordinate with CGT business unit leaders and product line managers to ensure communications programs are achieving metrics for annual plans and projects.
  • Collaborate with Corning Corporate Communications to ensure strong linkages with CGT marketing communications on shared activities.
  • Contribute to CGT internal communications assignments, including multimedia content development and executive communications.



  • Coordinate a full range of promotional tactics to build and maintain awareness of the Advanced Optics product portfolio’s value proposition among target audiences.
  • Maintain repository of approved messaging content to be shared with the business and with the rest of the CGT marketing communications team
  • Support the CGT marketing communications lead for Advanced Optics

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong skills in managing projects, setting priorities and staying organized to keep on top of multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Collaborative work style and organizational savvy
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Technical aptitude applied to product understanding
  • Self-motivated    



  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or other related field
  • 3-5 year experience in marketing or communications role
  • Experience with web & social media tools
