Under the leadership of the Market Pharmacy Director, designs, leads, and maintains the pharmaceutical care services provided by the pharmacy staff across Lutheran Health Network facilities that support safe, efficient, effective, equitable, timely and patient-centered use of medications. Serves as the market's lead pharmacotherapy clinical expert/resource; provides mentorship, education, and training to pharmacy staff; and provides education relating to medication therapies to nursing, medical staff, and other stakeholder departments. Job Summary:

* Under the leadership of the Market Pharmacy Director, designs, leads, and maintains the pharmaceutical care services provided by the pharmacy staff across Lutheran Health Network facilities that support safe, efficient, effective, equitable, timely and patient-centered use of medications.
* Serves as the market's lead pharmacotherapy clinical expert/resource; provides mentorship, education, and training to pharmacy staff; and provides education relating to medication therapies to nursing, medical staff, and other stakeholder departments.
* The associate provides leadership with the medical staff as it relates to the medication use process and ties the function of the integrated LHN medication selection process (e.g., P&T functions) with that of the CHSPSC, LLC Formulary Management Committee.
* Additionally, this associate develops and implements quality and performance improvement initiatives and is responsible for performing clinical pharmacy functions; distributive functions; controlled substance regulatory oversight; and drug theft/loss management as needed.
* As appropriate, the associate provides leadership and guidance to pharmacy technician staff.
* At the direction of the Market Pharmacy Director, this associate serves as Residency Pharmacy Director for the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Program.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Licensure:

* Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Indiana.
* Candidates eligible for licensure to practice Pharmacy in the State of Indiana will be considered.
* Licensure in Indiana must be obtained within 90 days from the date of hire. Duties will be restricted until licensed and a licensed Pharmacist must oversee the Pharmacist eligible for licensure.
* BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 90 days of start date in position.

Experience:

* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hospital pharmacy with experience in clinical pharmacy services required.
* Experience in supervision of personnel desired.

Education:

* Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy with an advanced degree (PharmD degree or Masters) or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
* Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency and/or board certification in an area of clinical focus is preferred.
