Role Purpose:

Develop and manages the implementation of the CLS Cell Therapy marketing strategy to ensure segment growth and achievement of the division’s revenue, profit, and shared goals.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive market view of CLS cell therapy products and platforms based on a detailed understanding of industry, customer, and competitor trends, needs/demands and developments.

• Support the cell therapy strategy development, execution and alignment throughout the division.

• Works with Product Line Management (PLM) across key CLS business’s engaged in cell therapy to develop compelling market value propositions for product lines to differentiate Corning in the marketplace.

• Works with Sales, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and PLM’s on recommendations for new products/special requests based on customer needs manufacturing feasibility, pricing requirements, profitability, and market implications of the requests.

• Reviews price targets with PLM’s for product platforms marketed to the cell therapy customer segment.

• Develop cell therapy product platform demand forecast based on current customer volume estimates, market analysis, and competitor insights.

• Aligns with PLM’s, Sales and Manufacturing to ensure agreement between product platform market demand forecast, sales plans, and production capacity/schedule.

• Owns Cell Therapy product roadmap and keeps PLM’s and Manufacturing informed of potential product adjustments and their implications to the production process and schedule.

• Works with Sales and PLM’s to define commercialization strategies for new product introductions marketed towards the Cell Therapy customer segment

• Defines the division cell therapy promotional strategy in collaboration with Marcomms and manages key messaging and spending.

• Provides division leadership with product sales, critical market or customer information in order to make investment decisions.

• Assists in the business case development for investment initiatives

• Serves as a member of new product steering teams where Cell Therapy is a top market focus


Travel:    Ability to travel up to 20%





  • MBA or MS / PhD in Biology or Biochemistry or related discipline OR 8-10 years of relative experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.



  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing strategy or product management and knowledge of marketing communications procedures
  • 3-5 years of experience in the areas of cell culture, cell processing, and/or cell therapy workflow
