Job Description

Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the project management of NNUSBPI’s project portfolio. Integrate and manage NNUSBPI’s Project Management standards, processes and toolsets to create a center of excellence. Responsible for leading and driving cLean within NNUSBPI through education, coaching, analysis and execution of efforts that drive efficiencies and improvements that lead to sustainable competitive advantage for the business.

Main job tasks:

* Contribute to NNUSBPI’s strategic and tactical planning, and cross functional collaboration.
* Responsible for planning, implementation, execution and monitoring of integrated projects; additionally, is responsible for keeping all stakeholders, including management, informed on status of programs.
* Financial/strategic analysis to assess benefit and strategic fit of projects.
* Plan, organize, and lead projects (Investment, process improvements, safety, quality, cost reduction, business innovation/growth, etc.). Leads the team in defining strategies, developing goals and deliverables, assigning responsibilities, and facilitates the team to deliver on milestones and goals.
* Collaborates with project team to proactively identify any project risks & mitigations, supports timely and realistic action plans and resolve issues.
* Facilitates project portfolio prioritization, scheduling, resource alignment, and financial analysis.
* Responsible for leading major and “just do it” operations improvement projects ranging from scope development and project planning through regulatory approval, commercialization and project close out.
* Leads efforts to analyze current project operations, makes recommendations for improvement, and coordinates the decision-making process. Facilitates information flow between team members, interfacing functions, management, sponsors and external contractors.
* Manage multiple programs simultaneously, including the use of project tracking tools, timelines, agendas, and meeting minutes.
* Develops, tracks and adheres to department/project budget(s) and forecasts.
* Develop and manage relationships across teams to ensure appropriate engagement of team members. Anticipate and resolves conflict situations
* Responsible for development, mentoring of individual project managers, including long-term goal realization, strengthen employee relationships, effective communication, and team unity.
* Educate and inform functional groups on cLean performance. Guide, coach, and lead project execution strategies. Champion benchmarking and adoption of best practices, manage relationships, and drive continuous improvement to the benefit of stakeholders.
* Design, build and implement solutions to include use of project management’s cLean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Risk Management, etc.).
* Assures all activities comply with established company policies and perform all duties in compliance with global regulatory requirements, the NNUSBPI Quality Manual and SOPs.
* Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes.
* Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others.

Knowledge, skills & abilities and experience:


Master’s Degree (MS/MBA) or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an engineering or scientific discipline in a cGMP/ regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
A minimum of four (4) years of supervising people and projects through subordinates staff members.

Skills & abilities:

* PMP certificate a plus
* Demonstrated project management skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a matrix environment
* Direct personnel management experience
* Strong analytical, business and financial acumen
* Ability to resolve cross-functional issues and balance competing priorities and stakeholder expectations to effectively deliver results.
* Must have excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), presentation, interpersonal skills and a desire to be a team player
* Independent, yet responsive to input, diplomacy and persuasion; ability to find common ground and resolution to complex challenges
* In-depth knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, approval, supply and market launch processes
* Must have a complete knowledge and thorough understanding of cGMPs, Industry Regulatory and compliance regulations
* Experience in conducting and coaching on root cause analysis techniques
* Demonstrated experience with Lean Implementation (5S, Six Sigma, Transactional Process Improvement, Set-up Reduction, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
* Demonstrated proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Physical requirements and working environment:

* The ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and walk.
* The ability to grasp and finger.
* The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication.
* Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers.
* While performing this job employee work involves sitting most of the time with walking and standing required only occasionally.
* Lifting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
* Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
* The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions including: noise, inside and outside conditions, working in narrow aisles, and temperature changes; atmospheric conditions including: odors, fumes, and dust.
