**Summary:**

Manages the daily operations of the pharmacy, including front-end prescription processing, refill claims processing, and fulfillment functions. This position is the Pharmacist-In-Charge and is responsible for all of the licensing, regulatory compliance, and duties assigned by the Boards of Pharmacy.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Manage the Pharmacist(s), Technician Supervisor(s), and Pharmacy Operations Support staff that does not directly report to the technician supervisor.

+ Oversee shift start times/break time to ensure appropriate coverage during normal business and holiday hours. Schedule and ensure coverage of the after-hours Pharmacist on-call line.

+ Train and guide development of new and existing staff. Ensure staff is informed and properly oriented on policies, procedures, and the processing of prescriptions. Work with the Pharmacy Director to analyze training needs necessary to meet job function requirements. Develop and provide trainings as needed. Manage implementations of new processes or procedures.

+ Generate productivity standards and metrics reports to review the productivity of staff.

+ Ensure Pharmacist staff adheres to internal and regulatory requirements. Uphold quality standards of the pharmacy.

+ Investigate/resolve all escalated issues or problems from internal and external sources.

+ Audit associates work and review calls if technology is available

+ Represent PerformSpecialty in contacts with Providers, Members, hospital personnel, etc. Demonstrate an understanding of PerformSpecialty's protocols for dealing with external organizations, groups, vendors, and individuals.

+ Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes in the specialty pharmacy industry and evaluates their effect on the pharmacy. Make recommendations process and program improvements, based on findings.

+ Create and support an environment which fosters teamwork, cooperation, and professionalism. Establish and maintain positive communication and professional demeanor with ACFC employees and clients at all times. Demonstrate and support commitment to corporate goals and mission.

+ Manage the performance of the weekly cycle counts, the monthly drug inventory and morgue inventory processes.

+ Conduct staff reviews in accordance with Corporate's Policies.

+ Identify process improvement opportunities and looks for cost reduction opportunities.

+ Participate in Quality Department meetings and works with Quality Department to maintain all accreditations

+ Participate in departmental budgeting process, determines staffing needs based on forecasted fulfillment volume.

+ Performs other job related duties and projects as assigned.

**Education/Experience:**

+ Bachelor's Degree required

+ Current State of Florida Pharmacist license required;Pharm D. preferred

+ Minimum three (3) years of current/recent professional pharmacy experience required

+ Minimum one (1) year of current/recent professional Specialty Pharmacy experience required
