NOTE LOCATION: This position is work from home with the applicant's physical location being within a reasonable commute to any Anthem office in the US.

Manager II Pharm Benefit Admin (Manager, Pharmacy Operations)

Responsible for oversight and management of Clinical Pharmacy Operations Drug List Division.

How you will make an impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Provides leadership in the rollout of new and improved drug list benefit support and quality processes.

+ Oversees tracking, validation, testing, and submission to claims processor to ensure coding and configuration are within specifications and business requirements.

+ Manages issue resolution with the team and assesses member impact. Manages resource capacity, prioritization and deploys appropriate quality controls and procedures. Assesses and communicates risk/impact and assists in prioritization of production issues.

+ Supports Sales, Marketing, Product, and Clinical teams.

+ Collaborates with business leaders to identify processing improvements.

+ Serves as a mentor and provides subject matter expertise for other areas of the company as well as within the department.

+ Accountable for deliverables of a third party or vendor.

+ Manages multiple functions requiring unique knowledge or has significant fiscal accountability over and above routine people/equipment costs.

+ Develops and manages annual operating budget.

+ Audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies and prepare specialized reports.

+ Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 8 years management experience in a complex business and systems environment with understanding of healthcare managed care domain knowledge; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

+ Pharmacy, Pharmacy Tech, or Pharmacist background strongly preferred

+ Preferred background and understanding with cross coordination across benefits, clinical, networks, and account management to support business requirements

+ Competency in managing projects

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
