Performs patient care activities under the direction of Labor & Delivery Staff, transporting patients, laboratory specimens, supplies and equipment to and from the Labor & Delivery area ensuring activities meet policies and procedures.
Education:
-None

Experience:
-Must have one year healthcare experience. Prefer experience in Labor & Delivery setting.

Equivalent Experience
-May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific experience as stated above.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
-Must have a current Heartsaver CPR course completion card within 90 days of hire and/or placement in job from one of the following:
oAmerican Heart Association
oAmerican Red Cross Rescuer
oMilitary Training Network.

Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must be able to read written directions, write legibly, and perform basic computer functions.
-Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
-Must possess working knowledge of basic sterile technique.
-Must be able to maintain logs and record keeping to report on assigned responsibilities.
