Excellent opportunity to work with a biotech laboratory specializing in clinical diagnostics, biomarker development, infectious disease and clinical trial support.
Rapidly growing contract research company that specializes in the design and
optimization of molecular-based workflows and laboratory testing services.
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician with strong experience in molecular biology to join our laboratory.
The primary responsibility of this role will be executing molecular-based experiments in our laboratory.
We serve our pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients primarily in three areas:
(1) design and execution of early stage R&D projects;
(2) scale-up of basic laboratory workflows to high-throughput processes; and
(3) laboratory testing services, including validation/verification studies. Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a Laboratory Technician who will conduct molecular-based experiments focused mainly on DNA/RNA extraction and purification, qPCR analyses of gene expression,
CLIA certified company, CAP accredited and Good Clinical Practices
Clinical Lab Molecular Lab Tech
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Specimen handling and processing samples into database
- Perform DNA/RNA extraction and qPCR , molecular testing
- Manage inventory of reagents and testing materials, alerting supervisor when items need to be reordered
- Maintain and organize work and testing areas/equipment
- Perform internal and CAP proficiency testing
- Adhere to laboratory's quality policies, safety policies, and instrument policies
You are an excellent fit if you meet the following qualifications:
- AS/BS in Life Sciences, or Medical Lab Tech, or closely related discipline required
- DNA or RNA extractions work and TaqMan based qPCR/PCR experience, required
- Undergraduate research experience or Industry experience, required
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Additional details:
Monday - Friday day shift
Base pay will range between 22-23 hr
long term temp position
