A Day in the Life
As an Sr Industrial Engineer, you will analyze and designs sequences of operations to develop, design, and plan equipment and machine layouts and workflow to maximize utilization and improve efficiency within plant, manufacturing, and production facilities. Ensure compliance with established industry standards and guidelines. Conducts analysis activities such as time studies and process flow mapping to evaluate worker productivity and ergonomics. Recommend improvements to increase workforce efficiency and optimize manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
- May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
- On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
- May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Must Have:MinimumRequirements :
- Requires a Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
- Must be Flexible and able to travelfrequentlyto Juncos Site as business needs require
- This position will be for a specific project and will last until the completion of the related activities.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Detailed time studies / line balancing
- Creation of value stream maps and detailed process flows
- Layouts creation (e.g.AutoCAD)
- Experience with process mining tools
- Advanced data analysis and visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
- Change management experience
- Knowledge of regulated industries (medical devices, healthcare, life sciences)
- ERP or enterprise systems experience (e.g.SAP)
- Strong facilitation skills for workshops, Kaizen events, and stakeholder sessions
- Ability to translate complex data and process insights intoexecutive levelstorytelling
- Knowledge of basic financial analysis/justifications
- Strong project management skills
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
