In this exciting role as an EHS Program Manager you will be responsible for medium scale Americas Commercial Operations R & D locations for EHS program management on the East Coast. This position will be responsible for the overall program process, performance and customer satisfaction and local compliance for Environmental Health & Safety.
Driving not only standard EHS needs but pressing forward to a best-in-class approach across the Americas and beyond. Working collaboratively with internal and external customers. Scheduling, leading, and directing meetings with cross-functional colleagues and internal customers within the organization.
In addition to managing the EHS programs within Americas East Coast Research & Development locations, this position will be supporting the actions necessary to drive success of regional strategic planning & development:
• Driving cross-functional subject matter projects (EHS)
• Establishing milestones and actions requirements for successful program execution.
• Generating automation improvements for improved metrics & monitoring across similar activities and operations.
Locations Include:
• R&D: Sea Port Area of Boston, Massachusetts
• R&D and Service & Repair of O-arms: Boxborough, Massachusetts
• Administrative Building: Mansfield, Massachusetts
• R&D: Memphis, Tennessee
This position will be based onsite in Boston/Boxborough MA with up to 20% travel

Program Development. Develop and implement EHS programs, goals and policies in compliance with recommendations, regulations and best practices.
Establish processes and systems that monitor and demonstrate EHS performance.
Evaluate risks, define gaps, and prioritize mitigations to then develop the milestones and actions required to successfully implement corrective/preventive measures.
Develop relationships with internal customers to involve employees and establish ownership of safety.
Continuous improvement mind-set
Responsible for ensuring managed sites/activities are “Audit ready”
Support OSHA recordkeeping and Workers Compensation as necessary for investigation, monitoring and recordkeeping.
Establish common partnerships across Americas R & D locations
Conduct incident investigations and support escalations when necessary
Must Haves
Nice to Have
Leadership & EHS Expertise: Proven leadership in Health & Safety within Research & Development or similar environments, including performing gap assessments and implementing corrective actions using the hierarchy of controls
Project & Multi-Site Management: Experienced in managing EHS improvement projects across multiple sites, with expertise in biosafety, radiation safety, ergonomics, and external auditing
Strong Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with remote employees nationwide to address Health & Safety risks
Industry & Technical Knowledge: Background in medical device manufacturing and/or R&D, with advanced software skills to support EHS initiatives
Ambition to Drive Change: Passionate about driving change and improving EHS programs and practices

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$113,600.00 - $170,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
