In this exciting role as an In-House Repair Manager, the positional responsibility encompasses people management and development, delivering outstanding customer service, deliver repaired/refurbished products meeting high level technical and quality standards, implementing continuous improvement programs, and maintaining strong links to the entire service organization and other functional stakeholders.
This position will report to the Americas Director of Depots and is responsible for global support of Neuromodulation/Pelvic Health.
The Senior In-House Repair Manager oversees all aspects of the in-house repair operations for Medtronic’s medical devices and equipment. This role is responsible for managing repair teams, optimizing processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement to deliver high-quality, timely repair services. The manager will collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of in-house repair technicians and supervisors.
- Oversee daily repair operations, including workflow management, resource allocation, and prioritization of repair tasks.
- Monitor and analyze repair metrics to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repair processes.
- Collaborate with OU management, engineering, quality assurance, and customer service teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Drive process improvements and implement Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory and spare parts for repair operations, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Prepare and present reports on repair performance, trends, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
- Support customer inquiries and escalations related to repair services.
- Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to Medtronic’s health and safety policies
- Cost Center planning and expenditure responsibility.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Technical Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in technical service/repair management, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry with 5+ years of managerial experience, or Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical service/repair management, with 5+ years of managerial experience.
Nice to Have
- Strong knowledge of FDA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements relevant to medical device repair.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, repair management software, and MS Office suite.
- Experience in a high-volume, regulated repair environment

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$112,800.00 - $169,200.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
