A Day in the Life
Are you ready to shape the future of financial operations for Diabetes International? The Diabetes business is becoming an independent, publicly traded company, with a clear focus on innovation, operational excellence, and growth in diabetes care. As the Finance Order to Cash (OtC) Lead, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing financial processes within the Order to Cash cycle, including assessing customer credit, cash application, and collections performance.
At Day 1 (Initial Public Offering (IPO)), all OtC processes will continue to be performed by Medtronic under Transition Service Agreement (TSA). You will partner closely with Medtronic teams to ensure Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and collections are maintained and improved where possible. Looking ahead to Day 2 (TSA exit), you will prepare the Diabetes International organization for independence by implementing robust financial OtC processes in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring scalability, compliance, and operational excellence.
This role is based in Prague, Czech Republic, with flexibility for hybrid or remote work. You will report to senior leadership and collaborate closely with regional and international teams, IT, and other finance leaders. Occasional travel may be required to support business needs and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Support value streams with the implementation of efficient accounting and control processes to ensure operational readiness for Day 1 (IPO)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to optimize end-to-end (E2E) processes
- Lead the design and implementation of accounting and control processes within SAP S/4HANA for Day 2 (TSA exit)
- Oversee the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting and control processes
- Implement a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework to monitor and optimize process performance
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting & control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in finance operations, process/system improvement, or related roles, ideally within a multinational organization
- Proven experience leading large-scale system implementation projects, including SAP S/4HANA
- Expertise in designing and optimizing accounting and control processes for international shared services environments
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing culturally diverse teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives is a plus. Familiarity with statutory reporting processes, value stream design, and KPI management will help you excel in this role.
