A Day in the Life
Join us as a Field Clinical Engineer and immerse yourself in an exhilarating role where you'll engage with cutting-edge technology, specifically implantable cardiac devices, across both pre- and post-market trials. In this role, you will support the Operating Unit of Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) and oversee several research centers within Germany. As a key player, you'll drive the clinical trial execution for the CRM at the site level, acting as an extension of our study teams based in Maastricht while navigating the local landscape. You'll collaborate closely with Key Opinion Leaders, local Medtronic colleagues, and various departments including Clinical & Regulatory Solutions, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory.
This position demands a blend of clinical and technical proficiency, ideally suited to those with experience in the cardiac catheter laboratory. You will interact with diverse stakeholders, proactively managing site performance and nurturing robust clinical research partnerships with leading hospitals across Germany. Integrated in the Global Field Clinical and Medical Science Organization and based in Germany, your role encompasses nationwide coverage, with occasional travel to other European countries to provide technical support. There is a facility-based immunization requirement for this position. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Manage all aspects of pre-market and post-market clinical research studies, including investigator identification, site nomination, protocol & study training, protocol compliance, enrolment encouragement, and data quality assurance
Educate, train and/or mentor internal clinical research talents, customers, clinical staff and sales partners on technology
Lead major programs, function in a project leadership role, communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external customers, and represent the organization as a primary contact in their given territory for clinical study enrolments and follow-ups
