A Day in the Life
The CRM TC Intern plays a critical role in supporting the adoption and effective use of medical technologies and products within Cath lab and Operating Theatre environments. This role involves learning Industry case support, patient interaction, and the execution of diagnostic procedures to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and user experience.
As an intern, you will provide in-OR/Cath-Lab support to facilitate adoption of Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) technology during implant procedures, while also delivering in-field support for CRM patient follow-ups. By building strong relationships with clinicians and offering unique insights into therapy, you'll play a key role in driving demand for our technology.

Internship details:
- Start date: January
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Cape Town
- Working hours: 40 h/week
- Work model: Field-based travel to support clinical stakeholders
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Complete CRM Level I to IV training, followed by in-field experience in Brady, ICD and CRT
- Assist in driving and generating sales within an identified territory and accounts
- Provide clinical and technical support during Implants, patient follow-ups, pre- and post-op procedures, and MRI
- Support product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance
- May provide follow-up support to regional sales teams and external stakeholders by providing technical support and information on specific applications
- Provide the clinical stakeholder with technical data necessary for product demonstrations
- May deliver technical or scientific presentations at customer locations
- Deliver on-site education and consulting, and support the establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations
- Coordinate with clinical stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of Medtronic CRM technology
- Assist with the printing of patient cards
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Health Science in Cardiac Clinical Technology or a National Diploma in Clinical Technology
- Fluent in English
- Able to travel to support customer needs
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must be South African citizen
- Must be under the age of 30
- Have not participated in a YES programme previously
Would be a plus:
- Driving license
- Strong technical aptitude
- Proactive team player with problem-solving and organizational skills
- Formal presentation skills
