We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Representative to join our inclusive and collaborative Diabetes team at Medtronic Korea, cover across Seoul, Metropolitan area and other accounts nationwide.
This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
Reporting to the Senior Sales Director in Korea, the Sales Representative will work closely with a highly engaged team of Clinical Specialists to passionately launch, promote and sell our Diabetes products in the public sector to nurse educators and endocrinologists and to certified product trainers in the private sector both virtually and face to face. Successfully delivering against sales targets and strategy will require you to be commercially astute, resilient and self-driven. 'Hands on' patient contact and the ability to work on campaigns with fast paced technology make this role fulfilling as you get the opportunity to see how our devices change people lives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
Develop and implement strategic Business Plans encapsulating key sales strategies and objectives Use selling skills, product knowledge and clinical knowledge to convince health care professionals (HCP) Technical support in clinic for HCP and patients
Education and training of HCPs and patients
Technical troubleshooting of medical devices and patient support
Managing and driving existing customer base to upgrade technology
Practice good territory management in terms of organization, administration and expense planning and control
Work closely with channel partners to ensure the field messages of our products and services are in alignment with corporate directions and effectively conveyed to end users
To practice professional and effective territory management in terms of organisation, administration, inventory management, coordination of clinical support and expense planning and control
Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Completed Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably Degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Science/Engineering or related field
3 - 6 years of sales experience or clinical/marketing experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, including distributor/channel management
Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean & English languages
Computer and MS Office proficient
Valid driver’s license
Strong team spirit, flexibility, and willingness to learn
Ability to travel across assigned territory as needed
Relevant Industry / clinical experience is highly regarded (Medical Devices or Healthcare)
Diabetes disease information, experienced in diabetes technologies is highly preferred
Direct experience interacting and dealing with key opinion leaders and other leading roles in the scientific and clinical community is a great plus
