Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Leads an organization composed of Technicians Supervisors, Automation Process Technicians and Automation Controls Technicians.
- Establishes practices and procedures for: Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, Root cause analysis, Precision adjustments and alignments, Tooling setups and calibrations and Corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Manages the identification and availability of spare parts.
- Manages interactions with other areas of support like machine shop, spare parts room, calibration department, facilities, etc.
- Looks after the continuous improvement and learning of his/her technical team.
- Drives engagement with equipment supplier for troubleshooting, problem solving and continues improvement.
- Manages and participates in tooling retrofits
- Engages with the Process and Product Design Engineering teams to improve process performance and product quality.
- Partners with his manufacturing counterparts to support and drive production output and quality.
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Requires 7 years of relevant experience, or with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
