A Day in the Life
Cranial & Spinal Technologies: Part of the Neuroscience portfolio, Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients. CST is comprised of four global businesses: Spine & Biologics, Enabling Technologies, intelligent Data Solutions (iDS), and China Cranial, Spinal, Orthopedics & Technologies.
• Spine & Biologics, offers procedural solutions for spine surgery, and bone grafting solutions for spinal fusion.
• Enabling Technologies, delivers an innovative portfolio which include robotics, navigation, intra-operative imaging, advanced energy devices, cerebral spinal fluid management and critical care.
The Production Planner Plan the schedule for the lines and value stream in the Humacao site. The planning scope goes from the machining process to the shipment of the final products.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and directs material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of raw and approved finished goods materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, inventory levels, and potential production or material supply disruptions to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided on-time and at an optimal cost.
- Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, demand planning, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.
- Monitor the Schedule attainment for the lines that is managing in the site for the machining plan and for the shipment plan.
- Understand from the operations team the misses to schedule attainment and the root causes of the misses.
- Prepare the weekly plan for the surface treatment materials that support the shipment plan he creates.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Blue yonder (planning platform) knowledge
