A Day in the Life
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Planner to oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of maintenance activities at our facilities. This critical position will work closely with Facilities teams across multiple sites to plan and schedule preventive and reactive maintenance in our Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring resources are used efficiently while minimizing downtime and its impact on our operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in planning/scheduling, and the ability to work collaboratively with Facilities teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Plan, develop and maintain maintenance schedules for preventive and reactive maintenance
- Review work request/work order scope for completeness and follow up as needed to ensure clarity
- Assign work orders to technicians based on priority, operational requirements, time to complete, technician/vendor availability, and other factors
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal technicians to schedule repairs and maintenance
- Monitor work order progress and follow up as needed to ensure timely completion
- Maintain and administer CMMS system, ensuring asset data, PM schedules, and other critical information is accurate and up-to-date
- Analyze data and generate reports to monitor maintenance KPI’s and overall effectiveness of maintenance programs
- Support the deployment of Medtronic’s Maintenance Excellence strategy by participating in key initiatives, kaizen events, and providing data/reports as needed
- Manage inventory of critical spare parts and supplies, ensuring necessary materials and equipment are available for planned work
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards, facility-related protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Identify process improvements and opportunities for increased efficiency in maintenance activities
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience or an associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a corporate or healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Prior experience in planning/scheduling, maintenance, and/or CMMS systems
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; prior experience with CMMS systems strongly preferred.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$71,200.00 - $106,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
