The Core Team Operations Representative (CTOR) is the primary Operations interface to the New Product Development (NPD) Core team. This is a highly visible and impactful role in the operations networks and to the business. The CTOR will lead international teams and is responsible for value stream selection, planning, execution, and implementation of new products.
Autonomy: A PD Program Manager in the CTOR role is responsible for small to medium scale programs. A successful candidate will need to bring clarity, refine plans, and drive team execution through ambiguously defined situations. Guidance from peers and stakeholders is readily available.
Organizational Impact: The candidate will own and ensure overall Operations project execution with respect to schedule, budget, resource allocation, risk management, issue resolution and compliance to internal quality requirements. Results are accomplished by leading up to 10 Extended Operations functions including Supply Management, Component Engineering, Process Development, Contract Manufacturing, Self-Manufacturing, Packaging & Labeling, Sterilization, Global Supply Chain, and Distribution functions.
Influence and Complexity: A successful candidate will be able to: 1) Apply best practices and lead meetings with internal/external stakeholders, 2) Communicate effectively to higher level management, 3) Solve issues through information exchange and influence, and 4) Gain cooperation of other functions on program objectives and plan execution.
Flexibility: A successful candidate will need to work with international teams so work schedule flexibility is possible if all project needs are met. Travel is required for this role and is usually planned to meet project needs with up to 25% domestic/international travel.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Extended Operations Team (up to 10 functions) to ensure on-time and on-budget performance through the new product development cycle.
Ensure scope, cost, resource and schedule alignment between operations and core team functions
Follow compliance processes for New Product Development
Ability to influence and negotiate requirements to meet program outcomes.
Execute pre-established Operations Strategies.
Ensure structured problem methods and predictive engineering principles are consistently and rigorously applied, such as Design for Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar concepts.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask critical questions without being the subject matter expert
COMMUNICATIONS & INFLUENCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Must Have (Minimum Requirements)

Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience,
Or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field); MBA preferred.
Experience with vascular products and therapies, including catheters, stents, and polymer/metal processing.
Strong background in medical device product development with thorough knowledge of FDA regulations and relevant industry standards.
Expertise across the entire product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization.
Certified in Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), or Six Sigma Green Belt.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Proven operational experience with deep expertise in at least one Operations function and strong program management capabilities.
Experience in highly regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, avionics, or automotive.
Skilled in problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
Experience working in cross-functional, virtual teams.
Hands-on experience in new product development initiatives.
