Job DescriptionThis is a full-time Internship opportunity from June - August 2017

The intern will contribute toward developing and optimizing high throughput screening technologies for antibody discovery. Research activities will span multiple disciplines, including cell culture, molecular biology, bio-engineering, assay design, and automation.

On that note, the intern will become familiar with common techniques in chemical biology and learn to operate high-throughput instrumentation. These skills will be applied in the context of addressing challenges associated with high-throughput screening.

Qualifications
• Experience with common molecular biology techniques

• Knowledge of molecular cloning concepts

• Familiar with assay development (i.e., ELISA, SPR, Flow cytometry) and sterile techniques for culturing common laboratory microorganisms

To participate in the Biogen Intern Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:


• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program following Biogen Intern assignment

• Minimum grade point average of 3.2 preferred

• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date

• Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate studying Engineering, Biology, Chemical Biology
