JOB SUMMARY

The summer internship program provides current college/graduate students the opportunity to work on meaningful, project-based assignments in various non-clinical areas. Intern responsibilities may include project management, event planning/support, logistics, data base management, research and analysis. Students typically work full time during the summer program, which runs from mid May to early August.

 

 

This motivated, enthusiastic student will assist the Clinical, Brand and Foundation marketing teams in the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives. The Marketing Intern will support the department with jobs related to project management, research and competitive intelligence, and multi-channel communications (email/digital and print).

EDUCATION

  • Progression toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or related field

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Conduct research and develop content to support key projects, events and campaigns executed by the marketing teams including, but not limited to:
    • Brand and Breaking New Ground initiatives (logo discovery, brand roll-out, signage, etc.)
    • Fall Sports advertising and marketing push
    • Production of advertising photo and video shoots
    • Seasonal campaigns (summer safety, back to school, flu/RSV, etc.)
    • Opening/ribbon cutting for the Center for Advanced Pediatrics
    • Updates to choa.org
  • Aid in the development of digital and print materials including writing effective creative briefs, routing jobs through traffic, collaborating with cross-functional team, etc.  
    • Assist with direct mailings
    • Help coordinate and execute Patient Family Experience inpatient welcome video
    • Curate content ideas for brand and service line-specific newsletters (Sports Medicine)
  • Proactively work to understand business, competitive landscape and roles within the marketing department
    • Provide support to all service line marketing liaisons as needed
    • Attend business partner meetings
    • Conduct market research

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
