Summary: The IT Pharmacist will be a member of the Pharmacy IT Clinical Systems Team with the responsibility to oversee and participate in the design, building and maintenance of the enterprise integrated electronic health record and pharmacy information systems. Under the direction and leadership of Pharmacy IT Clinical Systems, and responsibility to the Department of Pharmacy. The IT Pharmacist is responsible for the system architecture, integration, functionality and support of clinical information systems as it pertains to medication therapy the pharmacist will work with subject matter experts to conduct workflow analysis of current practice, suggest practice improvement and standardization, advise on design flow for the components of the information systems, build, and develop training and support materials for implementation. System design, build and implementation will adhere to evidence-based best practices, keeping medication safety, efficacy and cost in mind. Education Requirement:# Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy, M.S., and/or Pharm D program. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates. # in Pharmacy Informatics, and/or MS in Healthcare Informatics, preferred. # Experience Requirement:# Three years in pharmacy informatics preferred, residency training or equivalent experience.# Experience with Cerner, preferred. # Licensure/Certification Requirement: Current Tennessee licensure as a Pharmacist. Additional certification may be required based on assignment.
