An exciting opportunity has just become available with a reputable, medium-sized medical center in Eastern New Mexico who is looking for a Hospital Pharmacy Services Director to join their dedicated team.
This 120+ bed community medical center is ranked among the top performers in New Mexico in several key patient care categories. The Hospital Pharmacy Services Director will work in a fantastic facility that offers a wide range of inpatient acute care services such as Emergency Services, Pharmacy, Heart Care, and Surgical Services. This hospital holds a Level III Trauma Designation and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. They have also been ranked as a Top National Performer on Key Quality Measures for the past several years.
The Hospital Pharmacy Services Director will be supported by a talented team of direct reports comprised of tenured and experienced Pharmacy Supervisors, Clinical Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Technicians. This Pharmacy Services Director will also get to work alongside an outstanding Senior Management team, as well as other Unit Leaders hospital-wide.
The Hospital Pharmacy Services Director will be the head of a Pharmacy Department that provides comprehensive and integrated clinical pharmacy services. This department is also responsible for the processing, delivery and monitoring of drug therapy for all patients. The Pharmacy Director will be leading a department that provides clinical services such as answering drug information questions, preparing IV solutions, and screening for possible drug-drug/drug-food interactions and allergies.
In this role, the Hospital Pharmacy Services Director will be responsible for the management of pharmacy operations and the oversight of all clinical and educational activities. This person will coordinate with Senior Management to facilitate and implement clinical pharmacy programs with other health system affiliates. They will spearhead the onboarding process for new hires including interviews, training, and evaluation of newly hired pharmacy staff.
