Job Summary



Home Health Care represents perhaps the most progressive growth in the post acute arena.  As part of an integrated hospital system, we are seeking a candidate to be part of a supportive, futuristic and dynamic leadership team.  As a Supervisor within our organization, responsibilities include administrative oversight of a team of RNs, CNAs, and social workers serving the Roanoke and surrounding communities.  Responsibilities also include mentoring clinicians in the clinical competencies as well as documentation competencies required in home health care. Acts as Administrator of the agency in the absence of the Manager.  May be required to make home visits as required by volumes and as part of the supervision of field staff.

Minimum Qualifications


Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.  Bachelors degree in nursing, business or related field required.
 

Experience: Three to five years experience in home health management required.  Thorough working knowledge of current regulations and accrediting standards for the State of Virginia and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations required.  Experience in managing in a competitive environment.
 

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: A registered nurse currently licensed in Virginia. Must possess VA drivers license. BLS required.
 

Other Minimum Qualifications: Computer skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required.  Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement process.  Demonstrates positive interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, analytical business skills, integrity, innovation, team player, problem solving/conflict resolution skills and customer focused philosophy.  Work is performed in an office environment with travel required. Meets physical requirements for essential job functions. Must have a criminal record check showing no convictions of barrier crimes.
