To strengthen our Bimekizumab team we are looking to fill the position of: Global Marketing Strategy Lead.


This role can be filled in Brussels/Belgium, Slough/UK, Monheim/Germany or Atlanta/US.

As a UCB 'collabovative' person and Global Marketing Strategy Lead you like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Drive development of the global Bimekizumab Psoriasis or Psoriatic Arthritis launch strategy through Regional collaboration to deliver unique value for patients, clinicians, and payers through market-facing efforts,
  • Lead the development of the brand strategy and planning for Bimekizumab in alignment with patient, clinician, and payer needs and assures implementation through core tactics
  • Support development of Bimekizumab disease area lifecycle strategy and broader disease area portfolio strategy
  • Develop a deep understanding of key markets and is the key contact to collect regional input and insights, share mission strategy and deliverables and provide support where needed


As a UCB 'collabovative' person and Global Marketing Strategy Lead you will contribute by:

  • Working closely with the Launch Execution Lead, Regional Leads, other global teams and Centres of Expertise to ensure key activities and timelines mapped to framework and implement on time and to budget
  • Leading a global cross-functional launch readiness team (Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Supply Chain/Trade, Marketing, Sales, Insights, Market Access, Patient support, etc.) to assure alignment on and communication of activities to deliver an on-time, fully integrated launch effort
  • Co-creating brand architecture (brand house, positioning, target patient sub-populations, etc.) with regional and mission leadership to differentiate Bimekizumab. Champions brand development outcome and is responsible for securing support/endorsement from BSP and other Missions. 
  • Working with Insights Team, Patient Value Strategy Lead, Payer Access Strategy Lead, and regional team to conduct research to deepen patient, clinician, and payer insight to affect brand strategy and launch execution.  Represents brand in market research to assure work delivers needed findings in a thorough, timely manner.  Key accountabilities include production/review of research stimuli, questionnaires, and timelines, as well as communication of results to the BSP Mission
  • Working with KOLs to advance awareness and understanding of products, interests, and priorities and uses insights to shape brand development

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Educated to a Bachelors level, in a relevant life sciences or business related discipline
  • Specific Marketing qualifications or MBA (optional)
  • In-depth knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry and related business compliance
  • 7-10 years of successful assignments in country level sales, marketing, and other commercial functions
  • Successful assignments in regional marketing leadership
  • Deep understanding of regional markets including the US market
  • Experience Leading brand development work with experience in positioning and patient segmentation
  • Product launch leadership experience
  • Experience working with global marketing/commercial teams
  • Demonstration of successful working relationships with external stakeholders / KOLs
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Marketing excellence with knowledge of key approaches, critical steps
  • Excellent communication skills with individuals with different cultural, professional and academic backgrounds, including the ability to simplify complex issues
  • Builds actively on long-term relationships, both internally and externally across different functions
  • Proactive & results driven
