**Position Summary:**

This dynamic Financial Analyst role will support the Thermal Cyclers and Plastics (TC/P) group within the Molecular Biology Finance team. The role will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Molecular Biology, working together to provide Business Unit (BU) and functional support to business partners. This is a commercial focused role that will work to understand the financial and strategic position of the TC/P group while effectively communicating to senior leadership via monthly and quarterly reporting mechanisms, as well as the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Ad hoc requests are to be expected, including trend analysis, risk and opportunity insight and KPI management, and investment case analysis. This role will also directly support and work closely with the Molecular Biology VPGM. **Key Responsibilities:**

+ Partner with the TC/P Product Management team to deliver growth and achieve financial targets

+ Provide financial leadership and be an active partner to the TC/P team, combining business strategy support and counsel regarding long-term and short-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts

+ Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews with the opportunity to pitch to VP of Finance

+ Assist in the AOP and play a key role in the preparation of long-term strategy plans (STRAP)

+ Drive a continuous improvement (PPI) approach with a focus on automation, processes enhancement, and increased business partner support where applicable

+ Identify, monitor, and articulate key operating metrics, mitigate business risks, and aggressively pursue opportunities to deliver on growth and earnings expectations in the AOP

+ Partner with Group FP&A and Systems teams to drive reporting integrity, accuracy, and process efficiency

+ Partner with Product Management and Marketing to develop and execute a regional build-out and strategy for the TC/P business unit

+ Partner with Operations and Product Management to develop strategies around supply chain management for the sub-business unit

+ Drive accurate monthly OPEX reporting and forecasting, ensuring ownership and accountability within the business

+ Manage capital spend and forecasting to drive business execution in line with AOP commitments

+ Support the Molecular Biology consolidation team in preparing monthly/quarterly business reviews, system loads and completing month/quarter close cycles

+ Support ad-hoc internal, group, and corporate requests as needed

+ Champion other ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as assigned or as self-identified areas for improvement to drive organic growth within the Molecular Biology product lines

+ Leverage and build upon data warehouse reporting through robust and intuitive Power BI and/or Tableau reports

**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:**

+ Degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred but not required)

+ 5+ years of direct experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting leadership within a large, professionally managed operating company

+ Experience with HFM, Hyperion Planning, Smartview, Tableau, PowerBI or similar systems

+ Outstanding Excel and data analytics skills

+ Self-reliant, problem solver with a natural bias towards continuous operational improvement

+ Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management

+ Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with peers and upper management

+ Demonstrate mental awareness, flexibility, and adaptability to accommodate and balance needs / competing interests of groups within the organization (Regions, Divisions, Global Operations)
