Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains the monthly business financial consolidation and reporting PowerPoint deck
  • Monitors spending, highlights and researches and provided detail on expense variances that need corrective action
  • Drives financial reporting process improvement
  • Analyzes, interprets, and implements financial reports for financial planning and control
  • Performs defined and/or targeted analysis to determine present and future financial performance and writes summary reports
  • Reviews and administers fiscal operating policies and procedures
  • Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, future requirements, operating forecasts, and related financial activities
  • Helps collect, analyze, measure and report data on financial and or operational metrics and performances to support business unit objectives and business partner relationships
  • Performs routine ad hoc research on financial concepts in order to support team financial activities and broaden own understanding
  • Supports cross-functional projects and helps coordinate key communication activities
  • Conducts performance evaluations, scenario analysis, variance analysis, and ad hoc analysis under direct supervision
  • Performs routine and recurring activities to support daily operations of business unit
  • Provides analysis related to financial performance, and other initiatives as required
  • Other functions and projects as assigned in support of plant and company operations

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent technical degree
  • MBA/CMA a plus
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP
  • 1-3+ years total experience
  • In-depth Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Experience maintaining cross-functional relationships and business partnerships to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders
  • Experience improving financial and operational analysis and models; supports moderately complex projects within the department
  • Experience performing ad hoc requests, highlighting issues and identifying trends; begins to synthesize key findings, with guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to use applicable financial systems and applications with minimal guidance
  • Experience resolving routine and recurring issues
  • Track record of developing data-driven recommendations with measurable impact on business unit financial and/or operational performance against metrics
  • Experience establishing and optimizing reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and seek out guidance early on unclear requests
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strong networks and relationships with other Finance teams, identifying strategic contacts and resources within the Finance organization
  • Change Agent – influencing skills and the capability to champion, lead, and support continuous process improvements
