Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):
• Main responsibilities are performing preventative maintenance and various semiconductor equipment.
• Interfaces with equipment engineers and process engineers to identify and resolve equipment and process-related issues supporting production.
• Participate in the activities of the area shift pass-downs, and work on set priorities based on production requirements
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform non-routine corrective maintenance and in depth troubleshooting on area equipment.
• Orders and installs parts.
• Participate in activities to develop, document, and improve existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems; working from procedures, blueprints, sketches, drawings, and diagrams.
• Recommend equipment improvement and interface with engineering as required
Travel Requirements (please note if international): negligible
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 plus hours to support 24 by 7 operation
Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)
• >3 years equipment technician wafer fab experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 year degree electronics, industrial technology, equivalent military or similar technical training required
Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess)
• Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process tools, equipment and operations and the interrelationship of facility equipment & systems.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• High level attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction
• Ability to independently learn systems and processes associated with the role
Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)
• Familiar with vacuum systems
• Able to troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
