To strengthen our Neurology Patient Value Unit (nPVU), we are looking to fill the position of Epilepsy Outcomes Partner in the Western US.  In this role, you will contribute to optimization of patient care and area or /sub-national access for UCB therapies by planning and delivering real-world evidence (RWE) that addresses key area gaps and is responsive to both micro and macro area ecosystem trends.


Key Activities:

  • Partner with Population Health Partners (US) and with medical and access roles to gather insights to understand regional area or/subnational needs for RWE with regional area or /subnational stakeholders
  • Apply expertise to gather, interpret, plan and generate RWE and HEOR (data base analyses, studies, registries, audits) per regional RWE plan that broadly resonates with external stakeholders and supports implementation of UCB’s near- and long-term strategy
  • Engage in meaningful discussions and communicates real-world evidence to key stakeholders, i.e., policy makers, payers, pharmacists and KOLs
  • Conduct and teach RWE for internal stakeholders
  • Connect with global RWE practice and access
  • Elevates patient care by conducting analyses to identify care gap


Position Requirements:

  • Doctorate (MD, PhD, PharmD) degree required.
  • Additional advanced degree in Epidemiology (MPH), Economics (MS, MBA) and/or Health Services is highly desired.
  • 5+ years of direct Medical Affairs experience (MSL, HEOR, HOPE) in the biopharmaceutical industry and prior experience in field-based role strongly desired
  • Highly professional demeanor with excellent relationship-building and communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex scientific and economic findings with simplicity and clarity and ability to negotiate with internal and external constituencies to achieve desired results and outcomes is required
  • Experience with health plan drug utilization decision-making (e.g. Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Guideline Panels) is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in an Industry compliant manner.
  • Clinical experience in Epilepsy. Parkinson’s, or Neurology preferred
