Description
* Responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of the Epic Pharmacy applications.
* Analyze, prioritize and problem solve issues related to the Epic Pharmacy applications.
* Researches, documents, and facilitates resolution to issues reported by end-users.
* Identify risks and issues as it pertains to the Epic Pharmacy applications.
* Provides support for 24/7 environments. Participates in on-call responsibilities including early morning and evening hours to support customer needs.
* Provides medication billing support.
* Formulary and preference list maintenance.
* Compounding and repackaging build and support.
The Epic Pharmacy Technician Systems Specialist will focus on build and support of Epic's Pharmacy related applications. They will modify tables and master files, make additions and changes under the direction of senior team members and implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with the department's policies and procedures. The Specialist will perform daily monitoring of applications in production use and will collaborate with other senior members of the team in managing the resolution of problems and implementation of changes. The Specialist will act as second level of support and will triage application issues. The Specialist will assist senior team members in developing and maintaining requirements and test cases for new or enhanced functionality to the Epic Pharmacy applications.
