Job Summary
Environment, Health and Science is seeking to hire two interns for the summer of 2022 to assist with the busier months at the Composting Facility, Household Hazardous Waste and other projects in the Stormwater Management Program. Additional duties will include learning and assisting with a variety of programs managed by Environment Health and Science.
Job Responsibilities
35.00% - Assist with the collection of HHW items and the handling of non-hazardous materials. 20.00% - Assist with providing public services at the compost facility. 15.00% - Assist staff with data collection, investigations, education, and documentation for Stormwater Management Plan 15.00% - Develop public outreach materials for Environmental Programs 15.00% - Conduct other Environment, Health and Science program implementation duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications - Current student enrolled in an Environment, Health or Science-related field working towards an degree. Applicant should be well-organized and detail-oriented. Positive, responsible, safety-oriented, and good interpersonal approach with people. Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and database programs desired. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver"s license and capable of operating a City vehicle.
