Director New Product Commercialization 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Director, New Product Commercialization, are to: 


  • Be responsible for Pre-Launch Value Planning and Value Assessment Work with global New Product (NP) team;
  • Provide high level clinical payer/patient value assessment on point for early payer feedback;
  • Provide high level market landscape analysis and facilitate how to win plans with Payer Marketing Therapy Area (TA) leads, with a rollout to Leadership Team;
  • Be responsible for the critical alignment between U.S. and Global brand and payer reimbursement teams;
  • Be responsible for high level market channel assessment;
  • Be responsible for high level launch components with an eye towards innovation layout timeline of key communications and meetings;
  • Coordinate and manage Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and key payer input;
  • Identify a plan to transition to U.S. brand teams +18M to market launch;
  • Contribute to Market Access Strategy Team (MAST) Meetings and Plan and Development meetings;
  • Align on global decision to market as Bayer or with a partner;
  • Identify key success factors for U.S. market;
  • Develop financial models based on input from Channels, Contracting and Pricing and Reimbursement in order to calibrate opportunities;
  • Guide global models in developing U.S. based Gross-to-Net estimates for Market Access channels;
  • Develop U.S.-specific financial models as needed to determine viability and projections for Brand;
  • Be responsible for FDA Modernization Act (FDAMA) Section 114 Compliance, Provide clarity for Legal Medical Regulatory (LMR) review across brands of payer marketing promotional pieces and use by Market Access account managers;
  • Be responsible for improving value communications;
  • Provide managed market and access input into trial design;
  • Participate in D7 Workshops for global trial design input.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree, or M.S. with relevant marketing, science, or pharma experience;
  • Fifteen plus (15)+ years of experience in U.S. Pharma/biotech/healthcare industry and a solid knowledge of U.S. payer and healthcare market;
  • Five plus (5)+ years of consulting, investment banking, or Pharma/biotech/healthcare market New Product role with an understanding of disease landscape modeling;
  • Ability to multi-task across U.S./Global organization and develop key collaborations;
  • Broad business acumen (understanding of finance, data and analytics, forecasting);
  • Proven ability to apply a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions;
  • Experience processing information and data and translate into actionable insights and strategies.
