The Hospital Pharmacy Director will be joining this ancillary services department at a very exciting time. This local health system is experiencing amazing growth, with multiple outpatient clinics currently opening and new service line being offered one after another. It's no surprise that Pharmacy leadership is looking for a strong manager, someone with strong operations experience, as well as in-depth clinical pharmaceutical experience that typically comes from an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or experience.
Under direction from, and reporting to, the Chief Operating Officer, the Inpatient Pharmacy Director will lead the charge in scaling pharmacy services to meet the demands of a growing healthcare system, hospital system, and community. You'll oversee a friendly and professional staff of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, and support personnel, while being supported by two Acute Care Pharmacy Supervisors.
Along with the day-to-day of inpatient hospital pharmacy management, the Director will also get to focus on a wide array of operational and clinical challenges, and you'll get to play a major role in addressing those challenges head on. This is the perfect role for someone who loves complex organizational puzzles, who wants to work directly with healthcare clinical and business leaders, and for someone who wants to grow into a strong leader themselves.
Operationally, the Hospital Director of Pharmacy will develop multiple initiatives addressing best practices and efficient operations within the department, as well as developing staffing and quality assurance methods that will scale with growth. A strong clinical background in quality assurance, LEAN methodology, or other professional experience will prove a strong tool in building efficiencies within these service lines.
