YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Early Pipeline, are to: 

 

  • Serve as commercial lead in Global Product Team (GPT) for assigned oncology assets;
  • Develop commercialization strategies to maximize value of assigned assets;
  • Align commercial evaluations and business cases including option spaces, forecasting and commercial inputs for Decision Points with key markets;
  • Prepare the commercial recommendation for asset advancement decisions based on comprehensive evaluation of assigned assets against competitive landscape and future standard of care analyses;
  • Utilize competitive intelligence to inform potential adjustments to business cases and provide respective inputs to teams.
  • Represent the Early Pipeline function in licensing teams and lead the commercial aspects of external due diligence activities including working with Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) on commercial assumptions, forecasts and valuations.  Ensure accuracy and alignment with the regions;
  • Proactively engage in developing communication and publication strategies with Medical Affairs for early pipeline assets including positioning, differentiation and key messages, congress presence and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Sciences (pharmaceutical, biology, chemistry, etc.) and at least 12 years’ marketing experience including established and new product responsibilities or business development in the Pharmaceutical Industry;
  • Must identify and accurately evaluate current and new competitive products development activities in the worldwide pharmaceutical marketplace applying this knowledge to maximize potential for assigned products;
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, strategic insights as the incumbent will interact with all levels of global teams;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to develop complex proposals;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • M.B.A. and/or advanced degree (M.D./Ph.D.) and at least 8 years’ experience (M.D.) OR at least 10 years’ experience (M.B.A.) working in oncology development teams;
  • International and U.S. experience;
  • Recent Oncology Experience.
