Job Summary

The Director, Patient Reported Outcome Science provides strategic expertise to optimize representation of the patient voice in an effort to lead health outcomes, reimbursement, clinical, and regulatory excellence. This position within Global Epidemiology will serve as the lead and point of contact for selection, development and validation efforts for the use of Patient Reported Outcomes measures in our clinical studies. This position will serve to integrate the clinical development program and reimbursement activities. This individual will be responsible for research strategy and implementation of products from early phase development through Phase IV.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

* Liaise with relevant functions to determine strategic needs for Patient Reported Outcomes.
* Selection of tools to be implemented, optimizing balance between necessary data to be captured and minimizing patient burden.
* Authorship of regulatory and clinical documents on section pertaining to patient reported outcomes.
* Alignment of frequency of assessments.
* Assistance to clinical operations on securing licenses for patient reported outcomes.
* Strategic input on the development and validation strategy.
* Strategic input on labeling aspirations.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

* Doctoral (e.g. PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD), Master's or PharmD degree with 7+ years' experience.
* Ability to work across multiple therapeutic areas and indications.
* Proven ability to manage a large volume research enterprise.
* Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Domestic and International travel may be required.
