Your Role: As the Director, Medical Outcomes Science Liaison, Oncology (MOSL), you are a field-based clinical and health outcomes expert focused on the Oncology space who builds and maintains relationships with Key Decision Makers in assigned U.S. national, regional, and government payer accounts, Integrated Health Networks, Channel Customers, and oncology accounts. You will deliver and/or coordinate evidence-based clinical and health outcome value proposition presentations within your territory for all EMD Serono products and disease states. The Director MOSL provides strategic input into the evidence generation plan. You will impact a range of important customer, operational, project and service activities, including contributing to the understanding of value evidence for our products with key accounts. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring continuous and consistent communication with key internal partners on projects and customer related activities.
* Train Market Access and Patient Services (MAPS) Team, and other teams as appropriate, on clinical and health outcomes resources.
* Develop medical product information and stay informed on scientific trends and competition.
Who You Are: We are looking for a candidate with advanced communication skills, relationship building, and networking with proven ability to interact effectively with executive-level customers. You have a thorough understanding of the US payer market, current trends and evidentiary needs, and of pharmaceutical and promotional compliance guidelines and regulations. You bring technical expertise across key disciplines of Heath Economics and Outcomes research and are experienced in managing multiple projects across a variety of health outcomes methodologies. You have successful track record of working cross-functionally with field and internal teams to achieve company objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
* BS degree 8+ years' experience, MS degree and 6+ years, or PhD 5+ years' experience
* 4+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience in Health Outcomes or as a medical/pharmacy director at a health plan with formulary decision-making responsibilities
* Experience in Oncology
* Field experience providing clinical and health outcomes support to US payers required
* Experience with FDMA 114, 21st Century Cures, new draft FDA Guidance and its implications to the development and dissemination of health economic evidence to the payer audience
* Experience with a CRM system such as iConnect (Veeva), promotional scientific medical regulatory processes (PSMR), etc.
* Ability to travel up to 70%
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience with specialty products highly desirable
* PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent in a relevant discipline (i.e., health outcomes, economics, health services research, epidemiology) strongly preferred
* Ability to master the clinical and health economic evidence and able to effectively communicate complex material to a wide variety of audiences
* Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and organizational skills
