Data Scientist: Financial Analytics Specialist 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Financial Analytics Specialist are to:


  • Collect and analyze structured and unstructured (financial and business) data, to identify and interpret trends or patterns to support business decisions;
  • Utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools as needed, to perform exploratory data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, and uncover interesting trends and relationships;
  • Work with internal clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems, using problem-solving skills and verbal/written communication to non-technical audiences;
  • Translate objectives to a project plan with milestones, and resource/technology requirements, and lead / manage / support assigned projects to successful execution within the set parameters

    (i.e., deliverables, quality, time, budget);

  • Set and implement standards and strategy for data analytics within Accounting as well as increase knowledge base within Accounting;
  • Foster innovation initiatives and help identify other areas of application within Finance and Accounting;
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with global /local (project) counterparts and stakeholders and continuously expand people network.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree within IT, Mathematics, Data Science or related fields with four plus years of experience; or
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics with two plus years of experience; or
  • Non-degreed with eight years of relevant experience;
  • Familiar with modern IT business systems (e.g., SAP and BI) and proficient in data analytics tools and technologies;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work and make decisions autonomously;
  • Ability to develop communications and key messaging for stakeholders and senior management;
  • Ability to lead presentations with business leaders and key Stakeholders;
  • Strong Project Management skills;
  • Ability to contribute to strategic initiatives and discussions as related to business processes and stakeholder business functions;
  • Fundamental skills to create communications and key messaging for stakeholders and senior management;
  • Demonstrates LIFE Values/Behavior and capable of strong skill level in the following key competencies:
