  • The Information and Knowledge Management Lead will be responsible for working with business units and external vendors in order to define and manage business data, relationships, and ontologies for use as references, dimensions, or attributes in data warehouses, ad-hoc applications, and reporting systems
  • The candidate should have experience in communicating with cross-functional business teams, an understanding or exposure to database systems, a background in healthcare, and a willingness to dive into data
  • A clinical background or familiarity with pharmaceutical products, diagnosis codes, medical billing and coding terms, and similar healthcare information is preferred
  • Prior experience with Master Data Management, data stewardship, defining Standard Operating Processes for data change management is a plus


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with various business units to understand how, why, and what data is important to them in a large landscape of potential data
  • Partner with IT in managing Data Warehouse Operations
  • Define processes for constructing, verifying, and modifying data definitions that fit the business needs
  • Maintain recording of business rules, definitions, models, etc.
  • Generate and maintain codified data sets that can be used as a canonical reference
  • Work with internal users and external vendors on processes to integrate and modify data tables that rely on the above
  • Lead stakeholder status sessions



  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field
  • 3+ years Healthcare background or experience in information management, knowledge management, or information systems
  • Technical aptitude or exposure to database structure, data dictionaries, and similar
  • Product management mentality - the information this position manages is an important component of datasets and reporting applications used by data scientists, analysts, and business users
  • Ability to coordinate and manage data from diverse sources
  • Experience translating business needs to deliverables
  • Self-motivated team player with willingness to quickly research and pick up new concepts
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical partners
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience as a Business Analyst is a plus
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma is a plus



  • Advanced degree
  • Clinical or business experience in healthcare
  • Strong understanding of data and potential structures, analysis via SQL or other programmatic interfaces
  • Knowledge of specific data sources such as ICD-9, ICD-10, drug databases, pharmaceutical sales data from vendors such as IQVIA, Symphony, Optum, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to research data sets in order to evaluate usefulness for business needs
