**Location:** **METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER**

**Biweekly Hours:** **80.00**

**Shift:** **8am to 4:30pm**

**Summary:**

**Provides coordination for acute care services provided by the department. Coordinates the departmental medication safety program. Serves as a project manager, including developing and implementing systems supporting safe medication use. Serves as a liaison to the Information Services Department regarding the maintenance of pharmacy information systems and other technologies. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.**

**Qualifications:**

Required:

Possess a current Pharmacist License from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

2 years of experience practicing as a pharmacist in a hospital setting OR has completed an American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency (either general or specialty).

Advanced knowledge of inpatient service programs, including unit dose, IV admixture, clinical and drug use evaluation services, and quality management.

Knowledge of various Pharmacy software programs.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong management and leadership skills.

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:

One of the following advanced degrees:

Master of Science in Pharmacy from an institution approved by both the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) and the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.

Pharm.D. degree from a State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved institution.

Master of Business Administration from an accredited institution.

Completion of an American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency.
