Description Summary

The Compliance Regulatory Analyst Sr supports the Enterprise Ethics & Compliance Program by monitors, analyzes, communicates, distributes and coordinates the implementation of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations that impact Blue Cross and affiliate business. This position works closely with staff attorneys and business areas to assure the successful identification and implementation of regulatory requirements.


Accountabilities


  1.  Establish and maintain a comprehensive understanding of new and existing laws and regulations that impact Blue Cross' products and operations.

  2.  Monitor and track various sources of new and changing state and federal regulations.

  3.  Analyze complex state and federal regulations which impact multiple areas of the organization.

  4.  Prepare summary analyses with attorneys, and communicate new requirements.

  5. In consultation with attorneys, communicates new or changing requirements in a manner that allows for business areas to assess impact and execute accordingly.

  6. Assist business areas in identifying impact to processes to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

  7.  Present to and participate in various oversight and working committees within the organization related to implementation of regulations.

  8. Maintain appropriate documentation.

  9. Support general compliance assessing and monitoring and other compliance functions as needed.

  10. Track, monitor and report on Required Action Plans (RAPs).

  11.  Support implementation and state regulations tracking onto Compliance 360.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in health care industry, with a minimum of 3 years analyzing regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate complex issues.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive for clarity.

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with ability to express complete concepts in simple terms, and ability to write clear, concise and grammatically correct materials.

  • Ability to manage work and projects independently.

  • Demonstrated experience working with regulations, analysis and reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience with assessing and monitoring activities.


Preferred Requirements


  • Certified Compliance Professional and/or paralegal.

  • Compliance 360 experience.

  • Experience with SharePoint.
