• Serve as dedicated communications resource for Corning’s Finance function, with a focus on strategic communications plan development, writing, video, and visual presentation of information.

• Develop and implement effective, consistent content to explain and obtain buy-in for function objectives and initiatives.

• Develop understanding of internal communications to broaden skill set and support program activities.

• Support Corporate Communications, including special projects.


Ongoing Tasks:

• Contribute to leadership messaging development.

• Attend function meetings to help communicate outcomes and expectations to employee audiences.

• Provide general support for internal clients’ communications projects and events.

• Participate in team meetings, and present on activities as appropriate.

• Establish templates and provide writing support for report material.

• Research, write, and edit content and video features for email, Corning World, Corning World Broadcast, the Blue Line, the intranet, and other internal platforms as needed.

• Work with vendors as needed to support function projects.


Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in journalism or communication; minimum one year industry experience or at least one internship that provided significant communication experience.

• Two or more years of industry experience preferred.

• Aptitude and proven skills in technical and analytic work.

• Experience in design and providing content for web pages.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.

• Basic understanding of website development and the aptitude to acquire additional skills in this area.

• Working knowledge of basic technology tools.
