Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Cambridge, MA is currently looking for a Associate Scientist / Mammalian Cell Culture to join their expanding team.

Duration: 18 months contract, extendable up to 36 Months

Job Description:
Role Summary:
Pharmaceutical's Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) Epithelial Biology Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented scientist with experience in stem cell and conventional cell culture maintenance and propagation.
Our group is committed to develop in vitro assays to represent intestinal human tissue. We generate cultures derived from cell lines or human intestinal organoids in conventional plate formats or specialized microfluidic systems to introduce physiologically relevant features in our experiments.
The candidate will play a critical role preparing and maintain complex cultures that will be utilized in downstream applications and in vitro assays.
The candidate will also contribute to assay development, data collection and interpretation.

Role Responsibilities:
Preparation of intestinal human organoid media conditions and guarantee quality control.
Expand and maintain human intestinal organoids and cell lines.
Prepare conventional culture plate formats seeded with intestinal human organoids or cell lines.
Prepare specialized microphysiological (MPS) plates seeded with intestinal human organoids.
Contribute to group-wide deliverables, work on several projects simultaneously, and present results and updates at group, project, and departmental meetings.
Engage in regular review of literature to maintain knowledge of scientific and technical trends.

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and 3+ years of research experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or academic laboratory.
Technical proficiency in mammalian cell culture.
Track record of strong problem solving and organizational skills, orientation to detail.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, work under strict deadlines, and remain flexible with changing needs.
Ability to work effectively to solve process development problems and implement improved procedures.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to function in a highly matrixed R&D organization.
This position is not open at the PhD level.

Day 2 Day:
Training of Specialized Techniques
There is a possibility of occasional weekend work

Must have 2+ years mammalian cell culture working experience
