Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is accepting applications for a#full-time clinical pharmacy specialist in internal medicine dedicated to the internal medicine graduate medical education program.# Position Details: Parkview Health welcomes the inaugural class of their Internal Medicine Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program in July 2022.# The Pharmacy Department is looking for an internal medicine specialist dedicated to the GME program.# The ideal candidate has recent experience rounding in an academic medical center teaching team environment to help build the foundation for Parkview pharmacy collaboration with the internal medicine physician interns and residents.# This individual will be heavily engaged with both pharmacy and GME leadership to develop the multidisciplinary teaching teams.# Relationship building with GME core faculty is a necessity.# This Clinical Specialist will serve as the lead pharmacist and provide oversight to the other pharmacists selected to routinely staff the two (2) other teaching teams at Parkview Hospital Randallia.# This oversight includes developing, managing, and standardizing core concepts necessary for internal medicine interns and residents# education (i.e., pharmacokinetics, parenteral nutrition, etc.).## Development of the pharmacy role within the weekly GME didactic classes is also expected. The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills and be a strong team member and leader. As well, this person will have excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills. Parkview Regional Medical Center is the major regional medical center located in Fort Wayne.# It provides comprehensive medical services to patients in northeastern Indiana, northwestern Ohio, and southern Michigan.# PRMC is a tertiary medical center currently with 551 beds (all private) and is a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center.# PRMC recently underwent a 150-million-dollar expansion of an additional 120 inpatient beds, with an additional 22 inpatient beds to be opened in Fall 2022.# In addition to the medical and surgical populations, it also has specialty centers for stroke, cardiac, orthopedics, oncology, and women#s and children#s services.
